Challenge #8

This was a much easier challenge than #7...that's for sure. I enjoyed doing it and our challenge was to incorporate song lyrics. I chose What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. This layout includes a picture (challenge was to make it black and white) I took in Alaska.

Here is my layout for the very difficult and time consuming Challenge #7! I would imagine this challenge weeded out a few racers. Personally I thought it was a bit much and it took me over 6 hours to complete because I could use no more than 2 items from any one designer. I have a list of credits of over 20 designers. It just took a long time hunting the stuff down. It's done, though...thankfully!

challenge 8

My layout for challenge 8. This was the type of challenge I like to do. One that helps me scrap photos I have yet to get too and it was fun to do!!!

Challenge 7

This was a tough challenge. It is definitely my least favorite challenge I have done for any of the ADSR races - past and present!!! I had a list of items I had to use and could only use things from one designer. You can check out my ADSR gallery for the LONG list of credits.

This weeks challenge was a road block. One of us had to scraplift our partner, and the subject matter also had to the opposite of the layout we were lifting. This is the layout I came up with. Susan's layout was about being together with her Mom (above) so I did my layout about my husband working away from home and being apart from us.
Thanks for looking =o)

Challenge #5

Here's my take on Challenge 5. I interviewed my beloved truck. Even though it costs me a little more on gas these days then I would like I still wouldn't give it up!! Not only does it get me where I want to go faithfully it sometimes it is also our dinner table and it's even been a play ground on occasion (when dd is in practice and ds has to much energy to sit around and watch LOL).

My layout for challenge 5....to interview an inanimate object! What a funny theme!

Anyway, I interviewed my poor purse... :)

Challenge 4

Journaling: This has become a regular scene on the weekends in our house. Your favorite game is Candy Land buy you also love playing Hi Ho Cherrio, Memory, and Chutes and Ladders. Sissy is really enjoying you being old enough to play board games. When she was your age she could play for hours and now you are the same way!!!

Bonus Challenge

Journaling: Because I'm a SAHM my daily routine is always changing, but there are some things that are part of my everyday life no matter what is happening. If I'm cleaning, cooking, or have found a moment to scrap you can be sure my MP3 player is in my ear. My computer keeps me connected with my family & friends scattered around the country. And there is one place you will find me more often then not . . . my truck. With a 13 year old in the house I am forever on the run. Sometimes it's to one of her sports practices, sometimes it's a club meeting, sometimes it's a social event. I think of myself as more of a "On the Go Mom" then a "Stay at Home Mom"!!!!

Challenge #3

I did my layout for Challenge #3 on how my life has changed so dramatically since December when I got the phone call that my mother was seriously ill.

Enough said about it..if you can't read the journaling you can go to

Challenge 3

Challenges about myself always seem to be challenging. Maybe it's part of being a Libra. I enjoy focusing on others more then I like to worry about myself. :) I decided to have fun with the journaling and make a light, airy layout (can layouts be airy??? LOL)
Journaling: Who Am I? I wear many hats these days. I'm a stay-at-home mom to both of my kids. To my 3 year old I'm a teacher, a playmate, and a protector. The roles are slowly changing in regards to my 13 year old. I'm more of a chauffeur and a tutor these days. But I'm also a sounding board, giver of unwanted advice, and a member of the fashion police. To my husband I am often a maid, accountant, cook, and secretary. My roles are often changing and evolving and I try to remember to cherish each of the roles as they come along. Behind the scenes I'm an amateur photographer, myspace addict, and both a paper and digital scrapbooker.

Challenge 2

The first week of the ADSR is wrapping up and we have all of our layouts posted =o) This challenge we had to work together to complete a single layout. It always seems like these are the hardest Challenges for Susan and me. Not because we have such different styles or fuss about what the other is doing. We work great together but I think we both work really hard to please the other and worry a little more then we do when making separate layouts. I love this layout though because we used our team name in the title and the photo is simply gorgeous!!!

ADSR #1

Whoo-hoo!! Another year of the ADSR!!! I'm so exciting!!!! I have had horrible scrappers block the last few months and I'm depending on these challenges to get me scrapping again!!!!

Here's my first layout for the Race:
Journaling: I love taking pictures of my family, in particular I love taking pictures from behind them. I'm not sure why I love these pictures so much. Maybe it's because I'e always enjoyed walking behind everyone and watching them interact with each other. It started with the bottom photo I took of DD and DS. Since then I have taken tons of photos like this.

Woooohoooooo.....aaaaaaaaand their oooooff!

Challenge 1 in the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race Season 3 was to use a sketch by Christy Haig, 3 of the same elements and use your favorite color. Now I love the color blue...but I also love red...and neutral tones....as I say "I've never met a color I didn't like!".

Anyway, this is a layout of my mother, my daughter and me. My mom is going through a terrible illness right now and I am in Florida taking care of her. My daughter came down for a weekend to visit several weeks back. Well we had picked up some of the worst wigs at the American Cancer Society for my mom but decided they were just awful. So we put them on to make her laugh. They looked terrible on us, too. I look like I have a coon skin on my head! ala Daniel Boone or Davey Crockett!

I used the template by Christy, the French Market kit by Syndee Nuckles at ScrapGirls and the date stamp by Misty Cato.
